WACO (April 3, 2013)--On Wednesday, community leaders will graduate a second round of students of Today’s Action Tomorrow’s Leaders’ (TATL) LeadershipPlenty Institute.
TATL is an outreach of the Community Visioning Project steered by Baylor, MCC, TSTC and other community leaders as well as the Waco and Cooper foundations.
The committee works to identify and deliver programs that will facilitate leadership skills in and around the community.
The institute trained 20 facilitators in 2011 who taught an inaugural class of 12 participants and the current class of 10 participants.
They use Civic Change Inc. curriculum which consists of nine modules that address primary civic skills that enable graduates to confidently identify problems in their communities and implement a plan of action to combat those problems, their website states.
A third class will begin this fall.
Wednesday’s graduation ceremony will be held at the Cooper House from 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m.
