Waco: Conference Addresses Sex-Trafficking, Poverty, And Other Community Challenges

WACO (October 17, 2012)--The “No Need Among You” conference will begin Thursday to help train churches and nonprofits to meet urban challenges in their communities.

Pre-conference workshops will begin Thursday morning on Christian responses in restorative justice, sex trafficking, urban youth, mental illness, alcohol and drug abuse and poverty.

The conference lasts through Saturday and will include 20 workshops and a variety of speakers.

A “Bridges Out of Poverty” simulation and on-site visits to ministries will also be part of the event.

The cost to attend is $75 for the entire conference and $15 for pre-conference workshops.

The conference will take place at Crestview Community Center at 7129 Delhi.
