WACO (October 8, 2012)--The McLennan County Medical Society will host a forum on health care reform Tuesday at the Waco Convention Center in the Bosque Theater.
Physician leaders will also be discussing the Affordable Care Act.
The forum is an effort to identify and address priority items that need collaborative, constructive energy and efforts from the Texas Medical Association and county medical societies in hopes of reaching meaningful health care reform, a society spokesperson said.
The panel will include McLennan County Medical Society President Dr. Charles Stern, Texas Medical Association President Dr. Michael Speer, former American Medical Association President Dr. James Rohack and Family Health Center CEO Dr. Roland Goertz, MBA.
While the event is open to the public, members of the organization will get priority seating, a spokesperson said.
The forum is set to begin at 6 p.m. with a short reception to be held prior to the discussion.
