WACO (September 19, 2012)--The final public meeting for the segment of the I-35 Expansion Project that runs through Waco has been scheduled for Thursday.
The proposed right-of-way changes would require a number of residential and commercial relocations.
The proposed project means that I-35 will be expanded to four lanes in each direction as well as continuous access roads in the locations where they are currently interrupted.
According to TxDOT, the new frontage roads would also include 6-foot sidewalks with curbs and gutters.
They say improved bicycle and pedestrian access are also included in the plans.
Residents are encouraged to attend the hearing and give their feedback.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. in the cafeteria of University High School on S. New Road.
