WACO (October 8, 2012)--Demondray Demon Patterson was in the McLennan County Jail Monday in lieu of bonds totaling $270,000, charged with abandoning a child, continuous family violence, assault family violence, terroristic threat family violence and terroristic threat.

Officers arrested Patterson, 19, after his girlfriend called police when he showed up at her home on Saturday.

The woman told Patterson she had to leave to pay a bill and asked him to watch her child while she was gone.

After she left the house she notified officers Patterson was inside.

Police say Patterson jumped out a window and attempted to run, leaving the child behind.

He was quickly captured and taken to the McLennan County Jail.

Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said Patterson has been arrested several times for assault family violence.
