WACO (October 26, 2012)--A Waco man who was due in court on multiple charges was arrested Thursday after the judge issued a warrant for him.
Kenneth Dwayne Anderson, 58, was ordered held on bonds totaling $750,000, charged with two counts of burglary of a motor vehicle and one count of evading arrest.
A spokeswoman for the McLennan County District Attorney's office said Anderson was schedule to appear in Judge Matt Johnson's 54th District Court on Oct. 15, but failed to appear.
Johnson issued a warrant for Anderson's arrest and Waco police found him Thursday.
Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said the initial charges against Anderson stem from two motor vehicle burglaries that were reported in 2011.
The first happened at the Lowe's parking lot where the victim reported his work truck had been broken into and some tools were taken.
The second burglary happened on South 4th Street at an apartment complex where tools were taken from a toolbox that was in the bed of a pickup truck.
Police arrived in time to witness the theft on South 4th Street and when the burglar spotted the officers, he ran from the scene, but later was caught.
