WACO (April 26, 2013)-A Waco man was being held in county jail Friday after his arrest on a child sexual assault charge in an incident in which a weapon was used.
Antonio Lynn Steele, 20, was ordered held on a $50,000 bond charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child with a weapon, McLennan County Jail records showed.
Members of the U.S. Marshal's Fugitive Task Force arrested Steele on a warrant issued to Waco police in connection with a January 2012 incident that happened at a Waco home, Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said Friday.
The task force arrested Steele at a residence in the 3200 block of Morrow Avenue.
The victim, Swanton said, was a girl younger than 15 who had run away from home, Swanton said.
She was assaulted by a man she met over the Internet.
The girl agreed to meet the man at the East Waco Library and from there he took her to a local residence where she reported she was sexually assaulted.
Swanton did not say what type of weapon was used or if the victim suffered any injuries.
