WACO (December 7, 2012)--A group of students at Cesar Chavez Middle School are taking part in a training program that through their leadership could reduce school bullying and misbehavior.
The Safe School Ambassador program identifies and utilizes socially influential student leaders and teaches them non-violent intervention and communication skills to use among their peers.
One teacher at the school says he hopes the program will not only combat bullying but improve school climate, attendance and academic performance.
