WACO (March 4, 2013)--Mission Waco recently released their statistics for 2012 which included providing 34,000 meals and 8,635 showers to the homeless and low-income individuals.
The organization trained 43 unemployed adults for jobs, provided tutoring services to more than 100 children and helped 60 low-income clients with legal assistance in a 5-month period.
More than 2,000 children received toys for Christmas through the organization and more than 10,000 people stayed in their shelter.
Mission Waco's success in 2012 also extended to Haiti where eight water wells were dug providing clean water to 800 people in each area where there was a well.
The organization provides Christian-based and relationship-based programs that empower the poor and mobilize middle-class Americans to help the poor, according to the group’s website.
