WACO (November 29, 2012)--A local resident and mother of three will be representing McLennan County Saturday in Corsicana for a chance to win the title of Mrs. Texas America.

Kelly Yarbrough says her volunteerism and fundraising activities throughout Texas were significant in her being selected as Mrs. McLennan County.

Yarbrough will compete at the Palace Theater in three categories: personal interview, swimsuit and evening gown.

Contestants for the title must be married and live in the county they represent.

The winner will receive a prize package worth thousands of dollars and will go on to compete for the title of Mrs. America in September.

That event will be held in Tucson, Arizona and is the only nationally televised pageant for married women in the country.
