Waco: Ohio Man Sentenced On Drug And Firearm Charges

WACO (September 3, 2014) Rodney Davis, 31, of Cincinnati, Ohio, was sentenced to 15 years in prison Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Waco for his role in a drug distribution operation, prosecutors said.

He was also ordered to serve five years on supervised release and was fined $3,000.

On June 26 U.S. District Judge Walter S. Smith convicted Davis of possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of a firearm during the commission of a drug trafficking crime and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Davis was charged after a traffic stop on Aug. 6, 2013 just outside of Centerville during which a search produced about six kilograms of cocaine and a semi-automatic firearm.

Davis’ criminal history includes a 2001 robbery conviction in Hamilton County, Ohio, prosecutors said.
