WACO (September 6, 2012)--Several road closures off of I-35 are slated for Monday.
The southbound frontage road from the Brazos River to the southern Clifton-Robinson Tower driveway will be closed until the new bridge is completed as well as the northbound frontage road in front of the Texas Hall of Fame & Museum, from the I-35 entrance ramp to the Brazos River.
Also, the turnaround under I-35 will be closed permanently, a TxDOT spokesperson said.
Other changes will also take place Monday, including these changes to the southbound frontage road:
Clifton-Robinson Tower (open) – The northern driveway to the rear parking area closest to the river will be closed. The southern driveway closest to University Parks Drive will be a one-way exit. These changes are permanent.
Farmers Market access from Brazos Queen parking lot (closed) – The northern driveway to the Brazos Queen parking lot closest to the river and access to the street beside it leading to the Farmers Market area will be closed permanently.
Traffic going to the Farmers Market will head north on Webster and continue to the end parking lot at the market.
The northbound frontage road will also experience road changes at the Texas Ranger Museum/Waco Tourist Information Center.
These changes include permanent closures to the northern driveway closest to the river. The southern driveway near University Parks Drive will remain open.
The facility itself will also remain open.
