WACO (December 12, 2012)--Waco police were looking for two men after a robbery Wednesday afternoon that left a convenience store clerk injured.

Officers were sent at around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday to the CEFCO store at the intersection of Cobbs Drive and North Valley Mills Drive where a store clerk reported she had been robbed and struck in the head as she walked to her car.

Police were looking for two men who were thought to be involved in the robbery, both of whom left the store on foot.

The men were both black.

One was 6-feet, 2-inches tall and was wearing a gray shirt and the other was 5-feet, 5-inches tall and was wearing a white T-shirt.

Employees at other businesses reported seeing the men fleeing on foot as well.

Swanton said the female clerk at the store told officers she was struck in the face and that the store's bank bag was stolen as she walked her car in the parking lot to make a trip to the bank.

The clerk was not seriously injured.

A Waco police Crime Scene Unit was at the scene gathering clues and investigating the clerk's gray Dodge that was left in front of the building with one of the doors open.
