WACO (November 13, 2012)--Friday’s Tailgate Throwdown will include a community pep rally to cheer on the Baylor Bears, along with a concert by Stoney LaRue, children’s activities, face paining and tailgating competitions.
Sponsored by the Public Improvement District of Waco, the event will not only support Baylor in its football game against Kansas State, but will also provide the public a look at improvements to the downtown area.
The 2012 Tailgate Throwdown will have four divisions and four categories that community members can participate in for a chance at being named “Waco’s best tailgater.”
Individual, restaurant, college and nonprofit are the divisions and participants can enter their starter food, dips, meat and desserts.
Also available is the End Zone VIP Party which includes a tented area near the entertainment stage, tailgate food, cash bar and a special gift.
VIP tickets are $50 each and can be purchased at the Extraco Events Center or by calling (254) 776-1660.
The fun begins at 6 p.m. at Heritage Square downtown.
