WACO (September 7, 2012)--The Salvation Army and the McLennan County Health District have teamed up in an effort to protect The Salvation Army visitors from mosquitoes that could be carrying the West Nile virus.
The Salvation Army has begun distributing 192 cans of bug repellant along with 729 moist towelettes containing DEET.
A limited supply of bug spray has been distributed at the facility during evening hours and the Salvation Army William and Catherine Booth Garden Apartments have also received bug spray.
