Waco: Tree Lighting Honors Victims Of Violent Crime

WACO (November 30, 2012)--The McLennan County Crime Victim Coalition invites the community to come out to the 2nd annual Tree of Angels lighting on Tuesday.

The event attempts to provide healing to families of victims of violent crime by lighting candles that signify hope and peace.

Victims' Families and friends are invited to bring an angel ornament to place on the tree which will be on display throughout the holiday season.

The event starts at 6:30 p.m. at the Bellmead Civic Center.

The coalition is made up of several city departments, Bikers Against Child Abuse, Mothers Against Drunk Drivers and others.
