WACO (February 15, 2013)--Waco police were searching for a man who attacked a woman in the backyard of her home Friday morning and stole her purse.
Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said the woman told officers she was attacked just after 11:30 a.m. Friday while in her backyard in the 3100 block of Pine Avenue.
She said a man punched her and took her purse.
Swanton said police had made no arrests Friday afternoon.
The victim described the robber as a black man who was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and black shorts.
Swanton said officers searched the area and they believe the robber fled on foot on South 33rd Street.
