WACO (November 28, 2012)--Senior care service provider Visiting Angels is collecting pieces of fleece to make blankets for area senior citizens.

There is a suggested donation by Friday of two coordinating pieces of fleece, 1 5/8 yard each.

Patterns should be age appropriate.

Volunteer high school students will prepare the fleece and tie the pieces together at the organizations Christmas party to create as many blankets as possible.

All blankets will be given to the Central Texas Senior Ministries and Friends for Life to be distributed.

Donations can be dropped off at the Visiting Angels office located at 3833 Franklin Avenue, facing Valley Mills.

For more information on the service project, call Visiting Angels at (254) 772-8660.
