WACO (July 18, 2012)--A North Waco home was damaged by fire Wednesday morning when a fire broke out in a breezeway.
No one was injured.
Firefighters were sent at around 10:40 a.m. to a wood-frame, single-story house in the 3900 block of Frederick Avenue where the first units on the scene reported smoke coming from the structure.
The fire, according to an assistant fire chief at the scene, was confined to a breezeway that extended from the house to the garage, but the house and the garage suffered significant damage from smoke and water.
Firefighters were not sure if the house is occupied, but it is known that no one was home at the time of the fire.
A fire marshal had been dispatched to the scene to try to determine the cause of the fire.
