Waco: Hawaiian Falls Water Park Opens This Weekend

WACO (May 22, 2012)--Hawaiian Falls Water Park in Waco will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 2 p.m. on Friday to mark its grand opening.

The water park will open for after the ceremonies, a spokesperson for Hawaiian Falls said.

A new wave pool the size of a football field is one of the highlights of the new facility.

Other attractions include two six-story slide complexes with a six-lane racer slide, several tube slides, speed slides, a raft ride, an 800-foot lazy river that winds through trees, a floating obstacle course, private cabanas for daily rental, corporate picnic and group areas and an enhanced children's area.

The children's area will consist of "Dive-In" movies during the summer season.

Hawaiian Falls Waco, formerly the Waco City Water Park, located at 900 Lake Shore Dr.

Active duty military personnel will be admitted free on Memorial Day; family members pay $19.99 each plus tax.
