WACO (July 13, 2012)--A free Molecular Gastronomy Class on Monday will teach about the chemicals and additives in common foods that we eat.
The class will last from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Greta W. Watson Culinary Arts Center on the TSTC campus.
Baylor University's Aramark Executive Chef Stephen Burns will educate participants about the use of food chemicals, where they derive from, how food additives apply to present-day foods and their uses in a professional kitchen.
Demonstrations will be held and participants will be given an opportunity to ask their own questions.
The event is open to the public but seats are limited.
The class will be held in the Culinary Lab No. 1.
