WEST (July 14, 2013) -- About a hundred residents showed up for a special town hall meeting tonight.
Mayor Muska went over the infrastructure plans for phase one of the recovery.
He told them the city is continuing to work on water and sewer services in the northern parts of the city.
Water and sewer services are running but the city is working to fix leaks.
Mayor Muska said they will be laying down PVC pipes to fix the issue.
The West Long Term Recovery committee also announced they have created the West Donation Foundation that can now accept charitable donations.
They are partnered with the Waco Foundation who are helping them get started.
They also introduced the committee's board members at the meeting.
The committee has 3.5 million dollars of donations for unmet needs.
The board members will now create a formula to distribute the money evenly but it will be a few weeks before residents start receiving any money.
