Man Claimed Vandalism Was Result Of “Demonic Forces” Save Email Print

(August 15, 2008)—A man claims “demonic forces” possessed him when he punched out eight windows at a church, police in Milford, Conn. said.

Police say Benjamin Ruszkowski, 27, is charged with going on a window-breaking spree last month at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church.

He faces criminal mischief charges.

Milford Police say traces of blood were left on all but three of the church's smashed windows, indicating the windows were punched and not broken with some object.

Police say when they went to Ruszkowski's home to question him, he allegedly said he had felt unconscious and compelled while demonic forces were inside him to punch the windows.

If this were a synogogue, and the perpetrator a Christian, this would be seen as a hate crime.
