Christians To Pray Saturday About Election, Ending Abortion

(August 16, 2008)--The leader of a day of prayer and fasting on the Mall in Washington, D.C. says participants will be praying about another event a continent away.

The Rev. Lou Engle predicts that thousands will take part in The Call DC on Saturday while the Rev. Rick Warren hosts presidential candidates John McCain and Barack Obama in California.

Engle believes ending abortion is a moral imperative, so he hopes Warren will challenge both Obama and McCain on the issue during the televised candidates' forum.

Warren has said he'll also quiz the candidates about gay marriage, which is now legal in California, although voters there could end it by approving a constitutional amendment on the November ballot.

Born Again Something Else--- the president and "associates" as you say are trying to classify all birth control as abortions?? That's the best one yet of the Bush Derangement Syndrome. Wow, your high IQ of 50 is really showing!! lol

Let the ones that run around trying to stop abortion take care of the babies that are not aborting and not wanted by the parents. Then they will not have the time to run around telling everyone how to live their lives! I'm tired of people trying to decide what is best for us all!

And thousands of us will also be 'praying' that the government will keep it's nose out of our bedrooms and reproductive systems.... while The Shrub and associates anre doing their best to have ALL BIRTH CONTROL (pills, IUD's, etc) CLASSIFIED AS ABORTION!! Geeze America--WAKE UP! I witnessed a good Catholic woman of 32, depressed about her 4th pregnancy in 6 years, need 44 sutures to repair her wrists and neck. We need more like this?

i think that this is not right. i dont really believe in people getting abortions that are married or have a stable family to help you take care of a child but if a 13 year gets pregnant if her family and her dicide thats what they need to do then she should be able to. it would prevent alot of crazy people being brought up in this world killing other people. why risk letting a child raise a child when they may grow up and kill 40 people rather than one person being gone. i do agree that there responsible for there own actions but come on guys this is the new century and one reason we have looney people walking around is because of kids having kids and letting them grow up without the right discipline.
