AUSTIN (November 3, 2009)--Gov. Rick Perry is bashing Washington-style health care fixes, but he isn't saying whether Texas should refuse federal incentives for insuring more people if given the chance.
Perry called proposals to let states "opt out" of a government-run health insurance system a "classic Washington bait and switch" and said Texans would have to pay for the program whether the state joins or not.
But Perry said, "our options are open" for participating in a government-run health insurance program as part of the proposed federal overhaul.

Rick Perry never said or implied that Texas would opt out. We cant. Even if Texas did opt out, do you think that the IRS would not take our taxes out?

The government health care system will come with more strings attached than an old episode of the Thunderbirds!!! Every state governor should tell Obama, "Take your health plan and shove it!"
