Belton, TX - The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's basketball team
went 2-0 last week but still dropped two spots to #15 in the country in
this week's D3hoops.com Top 25 Poll. The UMHB men totaled 280 points, a
drop of 17 from the previous week's 13th-place total. Defending national
champion Amherst College holds down the top spot with 24 first-place
votes and 624 total points. Centre College moved up to second place this
week with the other first-place vote and 550 total points. UMHB is the
only American Southwest Conference team to receive votes in this week's
poll. The Cru has also gone 5-0 over the past two weeks and has dropped
three places in the D3hoops.com Poll during that time.
The UMHB men are 20-3 overall and 17-2 in American Southwest
Conference play on the season. The Cru will return to action with a 7:30
PM home game against Hardin-Simmons University Thursday night. The UMHB
men then host McMurry University for a 3:00 PM start on Saturday. The
Cru has already clinched the first outright ASC West Division title in
school history and the UMHB men will host the ASC Championship
Tournament on February 29-March 2.
The D3hoops.com Top 25 Poll is selected by a panel of 25 head
coaches, selected media members and sports information directors from
across the country.
