(April 8, 2008)--Tennessee posted back-to-back national titles
in women's basketball by trouncing Stanford 64-48. That's the Lady
Vols' eighth national championship under coach Pat Summitt.

The Lady Vols have won eight NCAA titles and are the first team
to repeat since Connecticut won three in a row from 2002 through
2004.

Candace Parker led Tennessee with 16 points and nine rebounds.
Stanford star Candice Wiggins was held to 14 in a losing cause.

Nicky Anoskie (ahn-noh-SIHK'-ee) gave the Vols a spark with 12
points, eight rebounds and six steals.
