(April 21, 2008)--University of Mary Hardin-Baylor baseball player Adam Froeschl has been named American Southwest Conference West Division Hitter of the Week for the week ending April 20th. Froeschl, a senior second baseman/designated hitter from Hays High School, batted .625 for the Cru during a three-game sweep of Howard Payne University over the weekend. Froeschl drove in 11 runs and scored five more in the series while slugging .778.

The Cru finished the regular season with a 28-10 overall record and a 14-7 mark in ASC West Division play. UMHB shared the ASC West Division title for the first time in school history and will advance to the ASC Championship Tournament for the second straight year. The Cru will face Mississippi College in a best-of-three first round series Friday and Saturday in Clinton, Mississippi.
