Former Baylor Bear Kip Wells To Have Surgery
Colorado's Kip Wells will have surgery on Tuesday for a blod clot.

(May 5, 2008)--Colorado Rockies righthander Kip Wells will have surgery Tuesday for a blood clot in his right hand.
Wells spent three seasons at Baylor.
The Rockies said Monday the operation will be performed at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
The 31-year-old Wells was placed on the 15-day disabled list effective April 28. He was 1-1 with a 2.29 ERA in 10 games and one start.
No date has been set for his return.
