(May 7, 2008)--University of Texas quarterback G.J. Kinne says he's transferring to the University of Tulsa.

Kinne is a redshirt freshman and will have three years of eligibility after sitting out the coming season.

He was a two-time Class 3-A offensive player of the year in Texas. He was fourth on the Longhorns' depth chart behind Colt McCoy, John Chiles and Sherrod Harris.

Kinne's father is a high school coach who was a teammate of TU coach Todd Graham and TU assistant Brent Graham was once a
defensive coordinator on the father's staff.
