(May 13, 2008)--The Buffalo Bills have released Texan Kevin Everett, the player who was seriously injured during a game early last season.
The move clears the way for the injured player to receive disability benefits for the spinal cord injury that ended his career.
Everett was initially paralyzed from the neck down after a hard collision during a kickoff during a game with Denver.
Doctors doubted Everett would walk again, but he has regained many motor skills, including the ability to walk without assistance.
