(June 8, 2008)--For the first time in program history, Bosqueville baseball is on top of the state.

The Bulldogs beat Flatonia, 10-3, at Dell Diamond to take home their first ever state championship.

Hunter Perry and Cody Feight each homered and had three RBIs to lead Bosqueville.

The Bulldogs jumped out to an 8-0 lead and cruised after Flatonia
scored all three of its runs in the third inning.

Perry and Feight also had two hits each and scored twice. David
Johnson went 3-for-4 to back the four-hit pitching of Aaron Randolph (7-1), who struck out six in a seven-inning complete game.

Flatonia starter Cote Schacherl (10-2) gave up six runs - five
earned - on five hits in two-plus innings.

Sean Masek drove in two runs for Flatonia.

It was the fifth straight game in which Bosqueville has scored 10 or more runs.
