(June 27, 2008)--Robert Griffin is one step closer to realizing his Olympic Dream. The Baylor freshman ran the 400 meter hurdles in a time of 49.74 in the preliminary round of the US Olympic Trials. Griffin is one of sixteen runners who now advance to tomorrow's semifinals in Eugene, Oregon. The race will be run at 6:10 pm Pacific Coast Time.

Griffin is a native of Copperas Cove, Texas and is also a member of the Baylor football team. He is expected to compete for the starting quarterback job this fall.
