Rangers Lose To Yankees Save Email Print

A | A | A

(August 6, 2008)--The New York Yankees finally got the reliable pitching and road victory they've been looking for.

Jason Giambi homered and Sidney Ponson beat his former Texas
teammates to lead New York past the Rangers 5-3 Wednesday night.

The win snapped a two-game skid and stopped the Yankees from
sliding further back in the hunt for the AL wild card, a race in which the Rangers have also become a looming contender.
