(August 27, 2008)--NASCAR has placed top sprint car drivers Kyle Busch and Carl Edwards on probation for the next six races in the Sprint Cup Series for an on-track incident last Saturday at the conclusion of the race at Bristol Motor Speedway.
During the cool-down lap after Edwards' Ford took the checkered flag for Roush Fenway Racing, Busch drove alongside Edwards and bumped his car.
Edwards responded by driving the nose of his car into the right side of Busch's Toyota, spinning him out.
The probation begins with this weekend's event at Auto Club Speedway.
