(September 10, 2008)--The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor football season opener versus Southern Nazarene University has been moved up one day, to Friday, due to concerns for the safety of players and fans with the approach of Hurricane Ike. The game will now kick off at 6:00 PM on Friday, September 12th at Tiger Field in Belton. It was originally scheduled to be played on Saturday, September 13th.

The Cru will be kickoff its 11th season of football against Southern Nazarene. UMHB is currently ranked #4 in the nation by D3football.com. The Crimson Storm is 2-0 on the season with victories over Eastern New Mexico and Olivet Nazarene.
