(September 17, 2008)--The Texas Rangers 2009 schedule includes a May 22-24 Memorial Day weekend series at the Houston Astros as part of interleague play.

The Rangers schedule, announced Wednesday, includes June homestands with the Los Angeles Dodgers and the San Diego Padres -
also interleague opponents.

The Rangers open the season at home Monday afternoon, April 6,
against Cleveland.

The New York Yankees visit Texas May 25-27. The Rangers will host the Astros June 16-18.

Tampa Bay will travel to Texas for holiday weekend games July 3-5.

The Boston Red Sox head for Arlington for a three-game series Aug. 14-16.

Texas wraps up its 2009 home schedule with a three-game series
against Tampa Bay, Sept. 25-27.

The Rangers finish the regular season Oct. 2-4 in Seattle.
