(October 6, 2008)—Following the at home loss to Washington in Week 4, the 3-1 Cowboys barely squeak out a win against an 0-3 Bengals.
The Bengals were not off to a good start Sunday as Carson Palmer was intercepted by Greg Ellis on the 1st drive of the game. That interception led to a Cowboys Field Goal
The Cowboys lead 3-0.
Later in the first quarter, the Cowboys decide to go for it on 4th & 4, rookie Felix Jones runs 33 yards along the sidelines for the touchdown.
Dallas is up to 10-0.
In the second quarter, Tony Romo with a 4 yd pass to Jason Witten for the touchdown.
Dallas goes up to 17-0.
Twice in second, the Bengals mount drives that stall and result in field goals.
The teams hit the locker rooms with a score of 17-6 Cowboys.
In the third quarter, T.J. Houshmandzadeh catches an 18 yd pass from Carson Palmer for the touchdown.
The Bengals close the gap to 17-13.
At the end of the third quarter, Romo is intercepted by Keith Rivers, which leads to a Bengals field goal, making it a point game to begin the fourth quarter.
Romo gets a throw off to Terrell Owens, who uses some fancy footwork to outrun the Bengals defense for the 57 yard TD.
Cowboys are up 24-16.
Later in the fourth the Bengals close the gap; Palmer goes to T.J. Houshmandzadeh for the touchdown.
The score is 24-22, Dallas.
The Bengals attempt to tie the game with a two-point conversion. The 10 yd pass to Ben Utecht failed

The Cowboys clinch the win, though as Romo with time, passes through the
arms of Miles Austin's at the two yard line and into the hands of Patrick Crayton for the 15 yard touchdown.
The Bengals would not score in their final drive.
Romo kneels it twice and Dallas held on for a Week 5 win.
The final score: 31-22, Cowboys improve to 4-1, the Bengals fell to 0-5 for the first time since 2002.
