Ellison's Hardy Wins World Title In 100 Meters
Ellison High School senior-to-be Prezel Hardy won the 100 meters at the IAAF World Youth Championships today in Italy.

SUDITROL, ITALY (July 9, 2009)--Ellison High School senior-to-be Prezel Hardy won the 100 meters at the IAAF World Youth Championships today in Italy. Hardy won with a time of 10.57 seconds.

This is the first World Youth Championship an American has ever won in the 100 meters.

Hardy qualified for the finals of the race by running a blistering 10.38 in the semifinals earlier in the day.
