WACO (July 14, 2009)--The Midway ISD Board met in a Special Called Session on Monday, July 13 and named Paul Offill as new head baseball coach and middle school athletic coordinator.
Offill comes to Midway from Frisco Wakeland High School where he was the head baseball coach the past three seasons. He was the first ever coach at the new school and went 61-25-3 in three years.
He pitched at Dallas Baptist University for two seasons, but an injury shortened his college career. He ended up graduating from Texas A&M in 1997.
In 2008, Offill was named the Collin County Coach of the Year by Vype Magazine.
Offill replaces Tom Gladney who recently took a position as AD in Biloxi, Mississippi.

Midway puts out more professional ball players than any other central texas high school. It is one of the top baseball powerhouses in Texas. yet they hire a coach with little to no experience??? I am very disappointed. New AD is doing a terrible job!
