ARLINGTON (September 22, 2009)--The Dallas Cowboys are discussing a limit on standing-room ticket sales after some tense moments with the biggest regular-season crowd in NFL history.
Team spokesman Brett Daniels said Tuesday that some people who
bought the $29 Party Pass tickets were held back while authorities
tried to manage crowd dispersal Sunday night at the new Cowboys
Stadium.
The record crowd of 105,121 included about 30,000 people with no
assigned seats. The Cowboys lost to the New York Giants 33-31 in
the first regular-season game at the $1.15 billion stadium.

The city of Arlington won big by getting the new Cowboys stadium. NBA allstar game, a Superbow. Arlington has won big. Jerry Jones has the city, no the entire DFW metroplex on lock. As a cowboy fan though I hate to see the cowboys have a sorry season and not make the playoffs. Romo, Wade Phillips, and Jason Garret are not ready for prime time. Neither is Roy Williams. Jerry Jones might as well get him a prime time coach like Mike Shanahan, or Bill Cower. That's if Cower would come to big D. Or, he could just make the biggest announcement of the decade and bring back Jimmy Johnson. Regardless, I think any of the three coaches would get rid of Romo. He just can't get it done like say a Phillip Rivers, a Peyton Manning, or even an up and coming star like Matt Ryan or Joe Flaaco.

Where was the local fire marshal when Jerry [Dollar] Jones overloaded the stadium to break records? Any local business in that area would be fined by the city, why has this been overlooked? Could it be that Arlington is afraid to rock this boat?

Hey Sam, what is a GAint? I don't know what it is but you sound like one. Jerry Greedy Jones is such an egoist & a money hungry varnit who makes me want to vomit. He is the face of the Dallas Cowboys & that is too bad. I understand that with a stadium with that kind of price tag it needs to bring in as much revenue as possible BUT can you say SAFETY?! Don't just talk about Greedy--do something about it before something tragic occurs. BTW, Sma it is gIants.
