MCC Players Selected For All-Star Squads
Five baseball players and three softball players have been selected to represent McLennan Community College in state and regional Sophomore All-Star events this weekend.

WACO (October 9, 2009) -- Five baseball players and three softball players have been selected to represent McLennan Community College in state and regional Sophomore All-Star events this weekend.

Pitcher Landon Stanford of Plano, catcher Andrew Batten of Cedar Park, infielder Mat Beasley of Flower Mound, outfielder Clayton Rabbe of Lorena and outfielder Dylan Langhamer of Schulenburg will represent the Highlanders on the Region V North squad.

The squad will play in the Texas-New Mexico Junior College Sophomore All-Star games, hosted by Baylor University, at 8 p.m. tonight and 3:30 p.m. tomorrow.

Highlassie outfielder Addison Staley of Newton, outfielder Abi Tammen of Hutto and pitcher/infielder Lori Ward of Baytown were named to the softball Region V North squad for the Texas Junior College Softball Coaches Association Sophomore All-Star weekend.

The Region V North was scheduled to play doubleheaders today and tomorrow at Baylor University, but the games have been canceled due to the weather.
