WACO (October 9, 2009)--Baylor’s baseball fall scrimmage against Texas has been rescheduled for Sunday, Oct. 25. First pitch in the 14-inning affair is set for 1 p.m. CDT at UFCU Disch-Falk Field in Austin. Admission is free. The game originally was scheduled for Oct. 4 but was postponed due to inclement weather.

This is the third consecutive year in which Baylor and Texas have met in a fall scrimmage. While the game does not count toward the teams’ 2010 win-loss records, it does count toward the teams’ maximum number of games (56) for the 2010 schedule. Baylor also faces Temple College in a fall scrimmage at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, at Baylor Ballpark. Therefore, the Bears’ 2010 schedule will consist of 54 games.

Baylor returns 18 letterwinners from a 2009 squad that finished 30-26 and made the program’s 10th NCAA appearance in 12 years.
