Smith Named Player Of The Week
University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women’s soccer player Lexy Smith has been named American Southwest Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending October 25th.

BELTON (October 26, 2009)--University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women’s soccer player Lexy Smith has been named American Southwest Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending October 25th.
Smith, a sophomore forward from Belton High School, posted her first hat trick of the season in an 8-0 victory over McMurry University last weekend.
That victory clinched an ASC Championship Tournament berth for the UMHB women and Smith scored the game-winning goal.
It was only the fourth hat trick of the season in ASC women’s soccer. Smith also took three of UMHB’s six shots in a 4-0 loss to Hardin-Simmons to open the weekend.
The Cru women are currently 10-5 overall and 9-3 in ASC play.
The UMHB women will close out the regular season with a 1:00 PM kickoff at Howard Payne University this Saturday in Brownwood.
