Groesbeck's Lockwood Signs With Yankees
Former Groesbeck Goat Trent Lockwood signed with the New York Yankees earlier this month.

WACO (October 27, 2009)--Former Groesbeck and Hill College star Trent Lockwood signed a contract with a New York Yankees.

Lockwood was a member of the independent league team, the Amarillo Dillas this summer.

The 6’4 235-pound first baseman appeared in 78 games hitting 15 doubles and 5 triples to go along with his 14 home runs while posting a .315 batting average and slugging .541, in 289 plate appearances.

Lockwood was an All-Southland Conference performer at first baseman for UT-San Antonio.
