ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) - Seattle's six-game losing streak is over
after Ichiro Suzuki went 3-for-5 with a three-run triple in a
5-to-4 triumph at Texas.
Suzuki's bases-loaded three-bagger gave the Mariners a 4-to-0
lead in the fourth inning. The Rangers eventually knotted the score
before Raul Ibanez (ih-BAHN'-yehz) hit an R-B-I grounder in the
seventh.
Hank Blalock smacked a two-run homer in the Rangers' fourth loss
in six games.
Rookie Brandon Morrow picked up his first major league win,
allowing one hit over three and a-third innings of shutout relief.
Kevin Millwood is 2-and-3 after yielding five runs in six-plus
innings.
Jose Lopez had three of the Mariners' 12 hits.
