NEW ORLEANS (May 2, 2013) -- Johnny Manziel has decided he's not going to allow the pitfalls of fame stop him from having a good time, forging friendships with rival quarterbacks or even going back to class - in person.
As for the pressure inherent in living up to Heisman Trophy standards he set for himself in his first season as quarterback at Texas A&M, Manziel isn't concerned about that, either.
Manziel, who was in New Orleans Thursday to accept the Manning award as the nation's top college quarterback, says he doesn't think about living up to expectations or matching past individual accomplishments, just playing football as he always has, getting better and helping his team.
Manziel also says he expects to return to regular classes after a semester of taking online classes only.
