Waco (November 14, 2011) -- Kevin Durant, Josh Howard and other NBA stars are coming to Waco, Texas, for a Celebrity All-Star basketball game on Thursday, Dec. 1, 2011, at 7:30 p.m. in the Ferrell Center on the Baylor University campus.
Although new to Central Texas, this event has been successfully staged in cities such as Houston, Dallas, Austin, Shreveport, Washington D.C, and Chicago to help rise monies for awareness and other youth charities. The event will feature All-Stars Kevin Durant and Josh Howard, as well as other invited guest players such as Tracy McGrady, John Wall, LaMarcus Aldridge, Jason Terry, Rashard Lewis, Reggie Evans, Anthony Randolph, Corey Brewer, Isaiah Thomas, Damon Jones, Jarrett Jack, Nick Young, Desagana Diop, Marquis Daniels, Quentin Ross along with many other special invited guests.
Tickets, which may be purchased for as low as $14 each, are available at the Baylor University Athletic Ticket Office.
Proceeds from the Celebrity All-Star basketball game will be donated to the Texas Sports Hall of Fame, whose mission is to preserve the history of Texas sports for current and future generations, and to Coach Carter’s Impact Academy, whose mission is to assist youth by providing guidance and instruction in personal development, academics and athletics to improve socio-economic conditions for them and their neighborhoods.
