CENTERVILLE (May 8, 2009)--Grief counselors were at Centerville High School Friday after an accident that claimed two lives and left three others injured.

Four of the accident victims were student, and two of those were graduating seniors.

According to Trooper Shane Guyton in Leon County, a truck was speeding down I-45 when the vehicle drifted to the shoulder and hit loose gravel.

Officials say the driver, Carl Rippley, overcorrected and lost control of the truck, which hit a tree.

One passenger was ejected upon impact.

Stephanie Fowler, 23, and Rippley, whose age was not available, died at the scene.

Lauren Rippley, Alex Rippley and Scotty Johnson were taken to Scott and White in Temple, where Johnson was listed in critical condition Friday.
