BURNET (October 01, 2009)-The Department of Public Safety has identified the owner of a plane that crashed in a Central Texas lake Wednesday afternoon.
Officials say they have no identity of the missing pilot, but the online registry of the Federal Aviation Administration lists the plane as owned by Jim Eachus of Buchanan Dam, near the crash site.
The National Transportation and Safety Board is leading the investigation into Wednesday’s crash.
DPS Lampasas Dispatcher Glenmiller told News 10 early Thursday that a dive team from the agency is assisting the search for the plane’s occupant.
Witnesses say the plane went down about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Inks Lake, about a half mile from the dam.
A statement from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department says searchers believe they're looking for only the pilot of the home-built, single-engine Avid Catalina seaplane.
Inks Lake is on the Colorado River about 10 miles west of Burnet and about 50 miles northwest of Austin.

I'll tell you what I've figured out, Someone ... you are a blithering idiot; a windbag full of hot air who would like for folks out there in reader-land to think you know what you're talking about. You routinely prove, however, with each comment you make, that you do not. I'd take Micah Williams over you any day and on any story. And if I had the power, you'd be blocked from the KWTX comment site, never to post your verbal puke again.
